Nashville wedding photographer
I grew up in Alabama and couldn't wait to visit my birth state of Alaska.
Upon graduating high school, a family trip for a two-and-a-half month stay in Alaska helped teach me who I am. My parents let me use a nearly 30-year-old 35mm Minolta camera to document our travels. I bought many rolls of film that summer with many trips to the store to pick up my 4x6 prints. I kept them all.
I reviewed my collection of pictures. Disappointed in the quality, I decided to add a Photography class to my first semester of college. Two lab technicians fell in love with my least favorite picture. It was a picture of the “Lady of the Lake” at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. I was at the end of the roll of film and kept winding the camera to finish the roll. The camera kept winding but the film didn’t advance for three pictures. It produced a triple exposure that, in my mind, was garbage.
I succumbed to the pressure from the lab technicians to enter it to a photography contest. The picture won at the district level and later received state recognition. It was then that I learned how photography was more than just a picture.
My early interest in photography resulted in thousands of cherished memories of my friends and family. Turning my skills into a business gives me the privilege to provide my clients their own set of cherished memories. Whether it is a big event like a wedding or a snapshot of time for high school seniors, the art of photography serves as a heirloom for many generations.
I look forward to serving you with those treasured heirlooms.
